BEST UPCYCLED ITEM CONTEST

Get ready to build, create, and let your imagination run wild at the upcoming Lego Contest! On Saturday, August 19th, starting at 11:30, the Entertainment Shelter will transform into a haven of creativity as participants showcase their unique Lego creations. With prizes awaiting the most innovative designs, participants are encouraged to unleash their creativity without the constraints of kits. Ages and categories range from Stationary and Moving creations for both 7 years and under and 8 years and up, ensuring there's a space for every aspiring Lego architect to shine. KIDS COLORING CONTEST 2024
All entries must be received at the Fair Office by Noon, Friday August 16th, 2024. Three Age Groups: Under 4 years; 5-9 years; 10-15 years; Only ONE entry per person. Winners will be announced on Saturday, August 17th and posted by the Fair Office and contacted by the number listed on the color sheet.

OUTSTANDING SENIOR CITIZENS AWARD
Nominations are now being sought for the 2024 Outstanding Senior Citizen Award for Houston County. The award recognizes outstanding senior citizens (one male and one female) who have contributed their time and talent to benefit their community after reaching the age of 65. Awardees will be honored at the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award ceremony at the Houston County Fair on Thursday August 15th, 2024. Let’s show our appreciation by nominating a senior for this honor. The deadline is July 15, 2024. Nominations can be completed online under “forms” at

TALENT SHOW CONTEST
The show is limited to the first 25 entries. This includes all the age categories so get your entry form in early. Entries received after the show is full will be put on the waiting list. Specific contest rules and information can be found at www.houstoncountyfair.com under the Contests tab.
LITTLE MISS/MR - HOUSTON COUNTY FAIR
Pre-registration for entries into the Miss/Mr are due by August 1st, 2024. Participants are to check in at 6:00pm in the Entertainment Shelter on Wednesday, August 14th. The contest occurs during the Talent Show right before the Queen Coronation. Winners are chosen by drawing - with names being pulled out of a jar. The contest is open to children entering 1st grade in the 2024-2025 school year that reside within Houston County. Selected winners are welcome to join parades and be present at fair events with parent or guardian, but not required.
